The Pagani Zonda Prepares For A Comeback In 2022

"We have been lucky enough to work on many Zonda projects, but this marks our debut as the first Zonda created fully by us to every tiny detail with partnership with the factory themselves," LMM Design says. "The specification will be revealed soon, for now enjoy these teaser images of the car currently being built at the Pagani factory."

LMM Design posted several teaser images of the car being assembled by Pagani in Italy. The pictures mainly focus on the car's AMG-sourced 7.3-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine, which should produce the same 760 (metric) horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque figures as the other Zonda 760 models. We expect this final Zonda to have a sequential automatic transmission since the only Zonda 760 with a six-speed manual was originally sold to Sir Lewis Hamilton, seven-time Formula 1 world champion. Lasting from 1999 to 2022 is a testament to the Zonda's popularity, as customers continue to demand it despite an all-new supercar arriving later this year. Selling an "out-of-production" model isn't possible for most automakers, but perhaps some other exotic companies will learn from Pagani and give the people what they want - even if what they want isn't the latest and greatest.
